Welcome

Website and blog of The Friends of West Jesmond Primary School

About Us

Being an active member of The Friends is a great way to meet other parents and play a part in the life of your child's school.

If you are a parent or guardian of a child at West Jesmond Primary School, you are automatically a member of The Friends of West Jesmond. Staff and governors are also Friends and membership extends to interested members of the local community.

The Friends is run by a committee of volunteers and various subcommittees, eg. to organise the Summer Ball and the Summer Fair.  You are welcome to join any of the subcommittees or put yourself forward for the main committee.  Alternatively, you might want to volunteer on a one-off or ad hoc basis.  However much time you're able to give is appreciated and, don't forget...

The current committee members 2015/16 are:

Chair Martin Wardle
Vice Chairs Ishy Bruce and Dominic Martin (Deputy Head)
Treasurer Susan Ashman
Secretaries                   Claire Mitchell
